Bereavement services for children and their carers in Cornwall.

Brief Description of Project:

Bereavement workshop days for children aged 5-16yrs provide an opportunity to remember a person that died through art and other activities. Pre-bereavement workshops for children anticipating the death of a family member. Childhood grief training.


Services Offered:

Information, advice and library of resources.

Telephone helpline.

Bereavement activity days.

Training for organisations and volunteers.

Crisis intervention training in schools with Child and Family Services.

Some pre-bereavement support.


Further Comments:

Mission is to provide a service to address the issues of grieving children through a supportive and educational environment where children, caregivers and professionals can receive appropriate advice and information and share their experiences.
